Scott Gillingham and his wife Marla have been married for over 20 years. They live in St. James with their children, Hannah and Andrew.
While working as an ordained minister for the last 22 years, Gillingham has served the community in a variety of diverse roles:
  • Served as Executive board member for the St. James Assiniboia 55+ Centre;
  • Served on the Building Committee that planned and oversaw the construction of the new Sturgeon Heights Community Club;
  • Served on the Silver Heights Community Centre board;
  • Volunteered with the Portage Trail Soccer Club, liaising with the City of Winnipeg to secure and develop a new home site for the Club on Sturgeon Road;
  • Serves on the Airport Advisory Committee on the Environment;
  • Co-initiated the launch of a Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank in west Winnipeg that serves more than 60 families every two weeks; and
  • Helped launch the "Westgrove in Bloom” community garden project, serving the residents of a Manitoba Housing complex in west Winnipeg.
